"Bullhorn Nights" or "Murder She Throats" is the second episode of Season 1 of Black Dynamite, which aired on July 22, 2012.
Summary[]
Bullhorn goes undercover as a porn star in order to find a killer who murders porn stars. Meanwhile, Black Dynamite is desperate to find the killer before Bullhorn gets murdered.
Synopsis[]
Ringo Mandingo, a legendary porn star known for his incredibly long penis, leaves the Sunset Strip after a performance. His unseen limo driver turns down a secluded alleyway, then proceeds to pull out a chainsaw and dismember Ringo.
Chief Humphrey Magilahorn and the police investigate the scene, where they're joined by Black Dynamite, Honeybee, Bullhorn, and Cream Corn. Bullhorn recognizes Ringo's severed penis and reveals that the two of them were cousins; even as children, Ringo's endowment caused him to receive far more praise from family and friends, including Bullhorn's own mother. Magilahorn reveals that Ringo was the fourth black porn star killed in the prior week. The one thing they all had in common: they were about to star in Willy Wanker & the Chocolate Fucktory, the first major interracial porn film. Black Dynamite has little interest in helping, but feels obligated to join after Magilahorn tells him to stay out of it.
The crew visits a porn set to learn more about Ringo and why someone targeted him. While Black Dynamite questions the director, Bullhorn socializes with the female porn stars, where he discovers that his rhyming has the ability to literally make women's panties spontaneously drop. He takes the porn star name "Sweet Throat." Black Dynamite tells Bullhorn to go undercover in the porn industry to see if he can figure out who the killer may be.
A montage of Bullhorn appearing in various porn films and living the high life is shown, while Black Dynamite's attempts to get him to focus on the mission are rebuffed. Chief Magilahorn, after unsuccessfully trying to get him to investigate the murder of a white woman, tells Black Dynamite that the only black male porn stars left are Bullhorn and Isaac Layes. Isaac talks with Bullhorn and tells him that Ringo, despite his massive penis, was always jealous of Bullhorn's skill at rhyming. He returns to his hotel room, where he's killed by a grenade.
Black Dynamite confronts Bullhorn at a strip club, but it's clear the fame has gone to Bullhorn's head. After insulting Black Dynamite and getting thrown through a window, Bullhorn dismisses the notion that he's in any immediate danger and goes back inside the club. While dining at Roscoe's with Honeybee and Cream Corn, Roscoe brings their orders of grits and Jell-O. After a session of lateral thinking, they realize that the Ku Klux Klan and Black Panthers are the ones who have teamed up to kill interracial porn stars. They rush to the studio, where Bullhorn's already begun filming for Willy Wanker.
On the set, Bullhorn performs his musical number, but before the sex begins, he's held at gunpoint by Klansmen and Panthers—the director, unfazed, keeps the cameras rolling. Their fear is that if the film is made, it'll normalize interracial sex in a way that could never be reversed. However, Black Dynamite, Honey Bee, and Cream Corn show up disguised as Klansmen and start attacking the two groups. When they're all defeated, Bullhorn apologizes to Black Dynamite for letting his arrogance blind him, and leaves the life of a porn star behind.

- The episode title "Murder She Throats" is a reference to Murder, She Wrote, a crime series about a mystery writer who starts solving real murders.
- Many of the porn stars' names are pop culture references:
- Ringo Mandingo's name may come from Mandingo (1975), a "slavesploitation" film about the love triangle between a white slaveowner, his enslaved mistress, and his disillusioned wife.
- Slappy Long Strokem is a pun on Pappy Yokum from the old newspaper comic Li'l Abner.

- Isaac Layes is named after soul musician and actor Isaac Hayes.
- Bullhorn taking the porn name "Sweet Throat" may be a reference to the 1972 porn film Deep Throat.
- Isaac Layes's last line is "My grave—can you dig it?" Can You Dig It? is the name of Isaac Hayes' greatest hits compilation album.
- At Roscoe's diner, the crew briefly sing the theme from The Pink Panther.
- Bullhorn's film, Willy Wanker & the Chocolate Fucktory, is a porn parody of Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory (1971):
- His outfit, with the purple jacket, top hat, and cane, resembles Gene Wilder's costume as Willy Wonka.
- The song he sings is a parody of the musical number "Pure Imagination."
- The film's set mimics the chocolate room from the film, though all the props are phallic or otherwise sexual.
- The text on the screen mimics the subtitles that appear during the Oompa Loompas' musical numbers.
- He refers to his penis as an "Everlasting gobstopper," a candy invented by Wonka that can be sucked on without getting smaller.
- Two women are seen seductively licking what appears to be the monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, which briefly appeared in the Wonkavision scene of the film.
- A group of Oompa Loompa parodies called Umpa Humpas swarm a scantily-clad woman who's turned into a blueberry.
- Bullhorn remarks "This can't be the dream Martin Luther King had in sight when the Ku Klux Klan and Black Panthers would unite to fight," a reference to King's 1963 "I Have a Dream" speech urging for interracial equality and cooperation.
Film Callbacks[]
- Black Dynamite's view is briefly obstructed by a boom mic coming into frame.
- The scene at Roscoe's mirrors how Black Dynamite and his crew uncovered Operation Code Kansas in the film.
Quotes[]
Roscoe: Here you go, Black Dynamite, two orders of grits and Jell-O. Enjoy.
Black Dynamite: Wait. Roscoe, say what you just said again.
Roscoe: Enjoy?
Black Dynamite: Before that.
Roscoe: Two orders of Grits and Jell-O?
Black Dynamite: Before that.
Roscoe: Here you go?
Black Dynamite: After that.
Roscoe: ...Black Dynamite?
Black Dynamite: Yes. And what's on Black Dynamite's plate?
Roscoe: ...Grits and Jell-O?
Black Dynamite: Exactly! Quick, what does Jell-O do, besides taste shitty with grits?
Honeybee: Wiggle?
Cream Corn: Jiggle!
Black Dynamite: And why is Jell-O so wiggly and jiggly?
Cream Corn: Jell-O is so wiggly and jiggly because it's made with gelatin, which is formed with the protein molecules found in a fibrous material called collagen, that can also be found in cream cheese, gravies, sausage, and marshmallows!
Black Dynamite: That's right, marshmallows. And what do you call a marshmallow with a layer of chocolate sandwiched between two graham crackers at a campfire?
Honeybee: A s'more!
Black Dynamite: You damn right, Honeybee, and Imma give you some more. Now what's the only thing blacker than a s'more that's not at a campfire?
Roscoe: Chuck Berry!
Black Dynamite: Close, but blacker than that.
Cream Corn: A black panther!
Black Dynamite: Now, the only panthers we know that ain't black black are what?
Together: Pink!
Black Dynamite: Now everybody, what's the theme from The Pink Panther?
All: Dah-dunt dah-duh, dah-dunt, dah-dunt dah-dunt dah-
Black Dynamite: Now rewind that and slow it down.
All: Da-dant, da-dant, da-dant-
Honeybee: Dead ant!
Black Dynamite: And when an ant ain't dead, he lives in a colony, and another word for colony is?
Roscoe: A clan?
Black Dynamite: Which is short for...
All: Ku Klux Klan!
Black Dynamite: So what they really saying is...
